So far, of all the configurations I've tried (on my old NA and current TT) that seems to work the best. Mind you, I'm not going for total volume, but clarity for jazz/funk, old '80's rock and XM satellite radio (which has highly variable quality between songs, surprisingly enough). I got a sub-bass gain control, mounted up near the stereo, which works wonders for setting the 'just right' amount of thump on the fly. As for the visible amp, I would get a ChrisNA amp cover if you are going to use the cargo tray configuration. I ran my previous 4-channel under the passenger seat, but had some overheating issues. Newer, smaller amps seem to do better in this regard. Good Luck,
